The Hebrew Center for Health & Rehabilitation Employees and Residents Receive Vaccination to Defeat COVID-19
The Hebrew Center for Health and Rehabilitation, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates (NHCA), has begun administering the COVID-19 vaccine to its employees and residents. Priority vaccination of healthcare professionals and long-term care facility residents are part of a nationwide rollout to protect people at higher risk.
“Despite the disproportionate devastation this virus has had on the nursing home industry, our teams have shown remarkable resilience,” said Marvin Ostreicher, president of NHCA. “Today sets a historic milestone on the path towards defeating COVID-19.”
To reassure employees of the vaccine’s safety and instill confidence in its efficacy, Marvin Ostreicher led the staff at The Hebrew Center for Health and Rehabilitation in being vaccinated. The historic moment was broadcast on Facebook Live where the organization’s staff throughout the northeast could together witness their leadership among the first to take a crucial step towards a brighter future.
Earlier this month, NHCA launched its “Passport to Better Health” initiative. Employees banded together to share their excitement about the vaccine and spread hope for an end to the pandemic.
“The COVID-19 vaccine signals the restoration of normalcy for our residents who miss their families, recovery for our employees, who have long battled this pandemic, and the healing of our communities,” said Ann Spenard, chief clinical officer at NHCA.
While inoculation from the virus provides an essential layer of protection, employees at The Hebrew Center for Health and Rehabilitation remain vigilant and continue to reinforce strict safety measures and infection control protocols.
